Richmond french restaurant, Mignonette Bistro, has featured in the Michelin Guide after receiving the Bib Gourmand award for 2025.

The Bib Gourmand is a separate distinction within the Michelin Guide than its stars. Rather than focusing on fine dining, it highlights restaurants offering high-quality food at good value for money.

Michelin announced 36 Bib Gourmand restaurants for 2025 across the UK, with only 11 in London - including Mignonette.

In its guide, Michelin explains that Mignonette is a "prime example" of "straightforward French fare that blends heartiness with strong classical technique."

The Michelin Guide writes: "Intimate little bistros often make great Bib Gourmands, with their personal touch and generous, full-flavoured cooking.

"Mignonette is a prime example, providing its south-London residents with straightforward French fare that blends heartiness with strong classical technique.

"Anywhere that serves a £20 lunch menu in 2025 London is to be applauded, especially with cooking of this quality."

The guide continues: "How lucky are the residents of Kew? Not only do they have the world-famous gardens on their doorstep, but they're also the beneficiaries of this terrific little restaurant.

"Simple, homely and French to its core, this is the epitome of a neighbourhood bistro."

In just five months since opening its doors in Kew, Mignonette has become a beloved mainstay in the area, thanks to its minimal waste approach to ingredients and the wealth of experience co-founders John McClements and Glen Toromeni bring.

Reacting to making the Michelin Guide, Mignonette Bistro tell Richmond Nub News: "We are thrilled to have been included in the Michelin Guide book after only a few months of opening.

"We are proud to be recognised for serving exceptional food with affordable pricing with the Bib Gourmand award.

"We thank all the Richmond residents who have come and dined with us and supported us in doing what we love."
