A young Richmond music creator is gaining attention online after using artificial intelligence to turn his football-inspired lyrics into original songs enjoyed by families across the borough.

Oscar, whose dad produces music under the name Seven Eight, has been writing and releasing songs inspired by football, school life and family holidays.

The journey began after Oscar's father introduced him to music production, with the pair now regularly collaborating together.

Oscar's first track, We Got Games, celebrated football and friendship among classmates and quickly struck a chord with local families after it was shared in a parents' WhatsApp group.

According to Oscar's family, parents began sending videos of children dancing to the song at home and playing it in cars around Richmond.

The youngster has since continued making music using AI tools as a "creative partner", allowing him to transform his ideas into professionally released songs available on streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.

His parents explained that AI has helped bridge the gap between Oscar's imagination and the final product.

They said: "It's like having a digital band and a recording studio right in his bedroom, which is incredible for a child his age."

Oscar writes all of his own lyrics, drawing inspiration from everyday life, including school friendships, holidays and football.

One of his tracks, Breaktime Zoo, mentions every child in his class, while another song, Fuengirola Candles, was inspired by family holidays in Spain.

He has also recently released a World Cup-themed anthem titled Sixty Years.

The family say the response from the local community has been overwhelmingly positive, with other children becoming inspired to create music themselves.

Oscar's parents added: "It's amazing to see him use technology so productively; instead of just playing games, he's learning about songwriting, digital production and project management.

"Seeing him bond with his dad through music while making his friends happy is the greatest reward."
