Local bar and restaurant in the heart of town has closed for a refurb.
No. 1a Duke Street has temporarily shut for a refurbishment yesterday (Monday, 23 February).
In a notice to customers the restaurant said: "We're giving our venue a little refresh and will be closed from 23/02/26 to 12/03/26.
"We'll be back and ready to welcome you on 13/03/26. We can't wait to see you then!
"Thanks so much for your patience and support. No. 1a Duke Street"
The business describes itself as an "independent neighbourhood bar and restaurant, with a contemporary interior providing the perfect backdrop for socialising."
