Richmond Park MP Sarah Olney has responded to news that young people in Richmond may enjoy free travel across the capital until well into 2021.

Transport for London's commissioner Andy Byford today said the axing of free travel for Under 18s "cannot now be done until the Spring of next year".

Sarah said: "I cautiously welcome the news of this delay.

"Obviously we want the proposal stopped entirely but at least young people can rely on free bus fares to travel safely throughout the winter."

"I will continue to do all that I can to stop this going ahead as I know how beneficial it is to many children across the constituency."

Is free travel for young people important to you?
