Richmond Park closed to cars on Sunday for London Duathlon

Richmond Park will be closed to motor vehicles on Sunday for the London Duathlon.

The event is billed as the world's largest run-cycle-run event of its kind.

The duathlon offers a range of distances and relay options and competitors include a range of both beginners and seasoned multisport athletes.

The event, which is run by the Limelight Sports Club, will attract hundreds of competitors and spectators.

There is a half duathlon of two 5k runs separated by a 22k cycle; a full duathlon with a 10k run, 44k cycle and 5k run; and an ultra duathlon of 20k run, 77k bike ride and 10k run.

Teams will be taking part in a relay.
