Finn End of The Wedge, a band formed at Richmond Music Trust's BandIt initiative, has been selected to perform at this year's Music for Youth Proms 2026. This will take place at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The Music for Youth Proms is one of the UK's most prestigious youth music events, bringing together over 3,000 young performers from across the country for two spectacular evenings of live music on 9 and 10 November 2026.
From gospel choirs to jazz orchestras, marching and steel pan bands to rock and pop groups the Proms showcase the extraordinary range and vitality of young musical talent nationwide.
Finn End of The Wedge will join over 1,500 other young musicians on the night, performing its own tracks as part of an unforgettable celebration of youth music.
Bethany Calder, RMT BandIt Lead said "To see BandIt, a much-loved local course, represented on a world-famous stage is the stuff of dreams."
Founded in 1975 (originally as the Schools Prom), the event has provided early performance opportunities for some of Britain's leading musicians, including Nigel Kennedy, Dame Evelyn Glennie and Nicholas Daniel.

Phil Castang MBE, CEO of Music for Youth, said "The Music for Youth Proms… is a show like no other and recognises that young people make great music and can captivate audiences on the most important stages".
