Richmond Met Police officers have arrested two suspects breaking into a property in Richmond earlier today (11 December).

Emergency Response Policing Team (ERPT) officers from Richmond were called to the home after viewing CCTV footage of the suspects trying to get inside.

Officers later arrived at the scene and spotted the two suspects still inside the property.

Via X, Richmond Police said: "Acting quickly, they called for backup and started to contain the property."

The responding officers surrounded the home, stopping the two males from escaping.

Richmond Police added: "Quicker than you can say 'caught in the act!', the house was surrounded, and officers gained access to arrest the two suspects.

"Both males were arrested for burglary after causing damage and stealing property, which was recovered on scene!"

The Met Police has been approached for comment.
