Food reviewer gives Richmond café breakfast a "10-star" rating, saying it's among the best in London

A popular food reviewer has given a Richmond café's breakfast a glowing review, awarding it "10 stars" and praising it as "up there" with the best breakfasts in London.

Gary Eats, a YouTuber with more than 350,000 subscribers and over 100 restaurant reviews across the UK, visited Le Swine and gave it top marks for its breakfast offering.

The East Sheen café, which opened in 2024, calls itself the home of "Britain's best bacon butty" and has been serving its signature butties since 2014.

In his review, Gary ordered:

• Bacon Butty
• Sausage, Egg and Cheese Croissant
• Set 1 (middle bacon, Gloucester Old Spot sausage, two fried eggs, slow-roast tomato, mushroom, beans)
• Black pudding
• Vegan white pudding
• Beef dripping hash browns
• Beef dripping fried slice
• Cappuccino

Gary praised the café for the quality of its ingredients and the generous portions.

Trying vegan white pudding for the first time, he said it was the "best white pudding I've ever had."

After sampling the beef dripping fried slice, he joked: "If you are going to clog up your arteries, do it with the best ingredients."

Saving the bacon butty for last, Gary explained: "The bacon comes from R&J farms and butchers up in Yorkshire.

"You are producing some wonderful bacon and I do mean that… to me that is incredible."

Gary finished his video saying that the staff, restaurant and ingredients were "incredible" despite its pricing being more on the expensive side.
