New ATM's could be coming to a Richmond bank if plans are signed off by Richmond Council.

NatWest has applied for planning permission for the new facilities at its George Street site as part of a national upgrade campaign.

Plans show both the existing ATM's at the Georgian style building would be removed and replaced with more modern designs.

"The bank is currently undertaking a national programme whereby they are replacing and upgrading their ATMs," the application explained.

"The new ATMs will increase convenience for customers by allowing better access, a more ergonomic design and have cyber protected security.

"They are also accessible for people with hearing loss."

The application says the visual impact of the works will be "minimal".
