Publican's friendly invite to come and have a drink at his Richmond boozer

People have been encouraged to visit Richmond's "smallest and friendliest" pub for a coffee, drink or even a chat.

Nick Theato gave a shout-out to the Victoria Inn at the beginning of Richmond Hill. This is his message:

I see lots of people here who are new to the borough or are alone and I would like to say please come and visit our little pub on Hill Rise, Richmond, The Victoria Inn.

We are a community pub full of friendly faces and everyone is welcome to pop in for a chat and a coffee or a tipple any time.

Several older people I met say they are a bit shy about coming to a pub on their own but we are the smallest and friendliest pub in Richmond and take time for everyone.

Sandra, Emma, Lauren and our other team members will always make you feel welcome so please don't hesitate if you want to meet new faces or just to escape the rain!

So this is a reach-out for anyone who wants a friendly place to meet people, especially those who might be on their own.

We are a tiny front room pub and we have a secret garden and an outside green space.

You'll enjoy the company there so pop in and see for yourselves and we've made a lot of good friends over the 27 years we've run the pub.

We are also dog friendly, with occasional home baked dog treats for our canine friends. Thanks for reading.
