Are you ready to get into the festive spirit?

The week ahead will see the lights on Richmond's magnificent town centre Christmas tree being switched on.

Be Richmond has organised a special virtual switch-on show which residents can watch on YouTube from the comfort of their homes on Thursday, November 26.

Angel and Crown landlord Nick Botting is doing the honours as he was chosen in recognition of his pub's community-minded efforts to cook 5,000 meals over the spring-summer lockdown for residents in need.

To celebrate the occasion further, the pub in Church Court will be giving away free mulled wine and mince pies from 11am the day before (Wednesday, November 25) until they're all gone.

The popular pub said on Instagram:

FINALLY!!

We have some good news... Thursday, November 26 is the Richmond lights switch on and as such we will be decorating the pub.

To celebrate this we will have a stall outside serving free mulled wine and mince pies for all of our community free of charge!

Christmas is coming! ðŸ»
