The plans reveal new projecting signs with the words 'The Barnes Doctors' written in green on a white metal panel.

In addition, the application proposed to mount a small brass plaque on the wall beside the door with the initials of the business, 'BD'.

Via its website, the private practice said: "For all health matters and for every stage of life, The Barnes Doctors in-house team of private GP's and specialists will be here to provide you and your family with high quality healthcare.

"We strive to offer same day face to face appointments with little or no waiting times."

The Barnes Doctors will open six days a week, 8:30am - 6:30pm from Monday to Saturday.
