Postcard perfect photos of stags in Richmond Park

These marvelous images of the deer in Richmond Park were taken by our reader John Simpson.
John visits the park every year to catch the rut and shared these four snaps with us. Click through the photo carousel at the top of this page to see them all.
Rutting season takes place between September and November.
Visitors are encouraged to keep 50m away from the deer year-round and photographers should use a long lens.
A cull takes place twice a year with the next taking place over six weeks from Monday, November 2.
