A pop up pumpkin patch will take place in Richmond this halloween.

The pumpkin patch will be at Richmond's Whittaker Avenue between 10am and 5pm on Saturday 28 October.

The pop up will feature hundreds of pumpkins within a spookily themed patch complete with picket fencing and an autumnal archway entrance.

Youngsters will be able to grab their own mini wheelbarrows before setting off on a hunt to harvest their favourite pumpkins which they can then take home for free.

As well as getting the chance to go pumpkin picking, visitors will be able to take part in a host of other free activities throughout the day.

There will be a spooktacular scavenger hunt, frightful face painting sessions and the chance to meet a pair of friendly wandering scarecrows.

There will also be pumpkin carving workshops as well as fun photo opportunities with a creepy cobweb-covered cart and a giant six-foot stand in family pumpkin.

The Whittaker Avenue pop up pumpkin patch is being organised by Be Richmond following the success of their pop-up garden last year which was in place for 22 weeks and included summer, Halloween and Christmas themed activities.
