All emergency services - fire, police and ambulance - were called to the scene.

A fire engine left the scene around 10pm.

Traffic remained open in the opposite direction, heading towards central Richmond.

"Detour in operation - affecting eight bus routes. Affecting traffic in Twickenham. 19 Feb 2021, 10:24PM (first reported)."
