The Metropolitan Police has introduced a Dispersal Order in Richmond town centre for this weekend.
Officers have said that to "help prevent anti-social behaviour" they will implement a Section 35 Dispersal Order on Richmond Green.
From 4pm today (Friday, 9 October) until 7am on Sunday, 11 October, police can direct people out of the area, issue bans and seize items linked to anti-social behaviour.
The Met Police said: "The order is being introduced following recent incidents involving large gatherings, underage drinking, drug use and the misuse of fireworks.
"It forms part of a wider policing and safeguarding operation, alongside youth engagement and diversionary activities delivered with our partners."

Under these powers, officers can:
- Direct individuals causing, or likely to cause, anti-social behaviour to leave the area.
- Require individuals not to return to the designated area for a specified period.
- Seize alcohol from underage persons.
- Seize items linked to anti-social behaviour, including fireworks where appropriate.
Dedicated officers will be on patrol throughout the weekend to monitor and enforce the dispersal order, engage with young people and provide reassurance to residents and visitors.
