Police were called to an incident at Richmond Green on Saturday night.

A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: "At approximately 20:30hrs on Saturday, 9 September police were alerted to a large number of young people gathered in the Richmond Green area of Richmond.

"There were also reports of altercations involving some of those present.

"Officers attended.

"Two teenage males, aged 13 and 14, were arrested and have since been charged with assaulting an emergency services worker.

"One male was treated at the scene for a facial injury. He was not stabbed.

"A section 35 Dispersal Order was put in place in Richmond town centre giving police the power to exclude individuals from the area for up to 48 hours. This has since expired.

Local officers will continue to monitor the situation and an appropriate policing plan will be in place over the coming weekends."
