British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted on a train travelling from Staines to London earlier this month.
The incident happened at around 7:50am on Thursday, 2 October, when a woman in her 30s was travelling on the morning service.
A man boarded the train at Feltham railway station and sat next to her. Shortly afterwards, he began touching her hair while touching himself inappropriately over his clothing.
The woman was initially unaware of what was happening but was alerted by other passengers.
The man was then confronted by another passenger, who escorted him off the train when it arrived at Richmond station.
BTP officers have launched an investigation and are working to identify the suspect.
He is described as white, tall, and of stocky build, with a shaved head, and was wearing a black tracksuit top and bottoms.
Anyone who was on the train or witnessed the incident is urged to contact police by texting BTP on 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 283 of 2 October.
Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
