A one-off opportunity to explore Kew Gardens on two wheels has presented itself.

The Summer Cycle on Thursday, August 13 invites guests to pedal around the stunning grounds between 5.30 and 8.30pm.

Tickets cost £20 for an adult and £10 child with reductions for members. Car parking costs £5.

Kew Gardens said: "Join us to celebrate summer with a magical evening bike ride.

"This is a unique opportunity for you to bring your bike and explore Kew's most beautiful spots.

"Our Botanic Gardens come alive on two wheels. Bicycles aren't usually allowed in the gardens, so this is a chance to see Kew from a new perspective with friends and family.

"Take in the enchanted woodlands and beautiful blooms; stop for a picnic or summer drink and listen to live music; smell the aroma of the Rose Garden as the sun begins to set."

Kew Gardens needs your help

The Covid-19 pandemic has cost the gardens multiple millions.

"Closing our gardens and reducing our visitor numbers means we have lost £15 million which we rely on for vital global conservation and nurturing our beloved gardens," Kew said.

"Your support can help us protect our future."

It is asking for donations which can be made here. https://support.kew.org/donate/givetokew#/
