UPDATE: Person dies after being hit by train near North Sheen station

A person has died after being struck by a train near North Sheen railway station earlier today (Tuesday, 11 June).
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 12.30pm.
British Transport Police (BTP) confirmed officers responded to reports of a casualty on the tracks, and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) also attended.
A spokesperson for the BTP said: "Officers were called to North Sheen railway station at around 12.30pm today (11 June) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
The LAS added: "We were called at 12.32pm today (11 June) to reports of a person hit by a train at North Sheen Rail Station, TW9.
"We sent resources to the scene, including a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and members of our hazardous area response team (HART).
"Very sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a person was pronounced dead at the scene."
All train lines between Richmond and Barnes were initially closed as a safety measure while emergency crews attended the incident.
National Rail has since confirmed that lines have now reopened: "Lines have reopened between Richmond and Barnes following the earlier incident where a person was hit by a train.
"Trains may still be delayed by up to 60 minutes or cancelled whilst service recovers."
Several services were affected throughout the afternoon, including cancellations of routes between London Waterloo and destinations via Kingston and Strawberry Hill.
Trains to Windsor and Reading were diverted via Hounslow, and a number of stations including Mortlake, North Sheen, St Margarets and Twickenham were not served.
