A team from Twickenham Film Studios brought their own special skills to the new – and long awaited – Bond film starring Daniel Craig.

The studios, which is seeing a renaissance, has a team of sound experts who lead the world when it comes to creating a winning formula for a cinema blockbuster.

Its own special agents have skills in what is called Foley, which is the reproduction of everyday sound effects that are added to films, videos, and other media in post-production to enhance audio quality.

So when Bond wants his Martini to be shaken and not stirred, it may well be the team from Twickenham that makes it 'real'.

The 25th film in the franchise, No Time to Die, will be released in cinemas this week, marking the end of Daniel Craig's hugely successful association with the franchise.

The actor, who has now played James Bond five times, has lived in Richmond borough with his family for many years and has many associations with the area.

The Studio said: "Our team joined a stellar line up of artists on the feature working closely with Supervising Sound Editor Oliver Tarney to bring the epic Foley to life."

The Twickenham team included Foley Supervisor, Hugo Adams; Foley Mixer, Adam Méndez; Foley Artists, Andrea King and Sue Harding; and Foley Assistants, Sophia Hardman and Oli Ferris.

The origins of Foley come from the live broadcast era of the 1920s when radio studios would hire sound artists to create the effects live on cue and improvise with the radio host during broadcasts.
