No changes to Richmond waste and recycling collections over summer bank holiday

There will be no changes to waste and recycling collections following the summer bank holiday on Monday 25 August.
Richmond Council has confirmed that household waste will continue to be collected on the usual days.
Residents can check their collection schedule via the My Richmond online tool or by downloading the free My Richmond app.
Townmead Road Reuse and Recycling Centre will also remain open over the bank holiday weekend, but visits must be booked in advance.
As demand is expected to be high, the Council is advising residents to reserve a slot early.
Small unwanted electrical items can be recycled at one of the borough's 30 community banks or placed out for collection through weekly kerbside services.
In addition, Townmead Road now has a dedicated reuse point where items in good condition can be donated for redistribution by local community groups.
The Council say for those tackling home or garden projects this bank holiday, the Library of Things in Twickenham offers over 30 useful items for hire, including pressure washers, carpet cleaners, drills and hedge trimmers, helping residents save money and reduce waste.
Residents can also sign up to the Council's waste and recycling mailing list for the latest local service updates and reuse opportunities.
