New Thai restaurant Thong Thai opens in East Sheen

A new Thai restaurant has opened on the site of the former Asiatique Restaurant in East Sheen, Richmond.
Thong Thai Restaurant has replaced the previous Thai eatery at 201 Upper Richmond Road West, which closed after nine years of operation.
The restaurant describes itself as "dedicated to preparing and serving fresh, local Thai food that reflects the lifestyle of the Thai people."
Its menu features classic Thai dishes, including Pad Ka Prow, a stir-fry with basil, chilli, onion, long bean, and oyster sauce, as well as Pad Thai Noodles, stir-fried rice noodles with shrimp, tofu, peanuts, and bean sprouts.
Despite being open for less than a month, Thong Thai has already received positive reviews. FoodieFinds.com praised the dishes, saying they "transport you to the heart of Thailand," while The Thai Culinary Guide called the restaurant a "testament to the art of Thai cooking."
Thong Thai opens Tuesday to Friday, 5:30pm to 10pm, Saturday from 12pm to 10pm and Sunday from 12pm to 9:30pm.
