Motorist fined hundreds after contesting £40 parking fine

A motorist who was given a parking fine in Richmond Park was today handed a much bigger fine in court after contesting the first.

The man was issued with a £40 fixed penalty notice on October 10 2020.

He was parked on a footpath in Richmond Park close to Pembroke Lodge.

He contested the fine and was found guilty today at Lavender Hill Magistrates, Royal Parks Police have said.

He was handed a total fine of £427.
