Rescue efforts continue in the plight of a minke whale that spent yesterday evening stuck in Richmond lock.

Now the whale has moved to Teddington lock, where a helicopter has been seen hovering overhead and the RNLI continue to try and help.

Rescue teams managed to help the whale out of Richmond lock at 1am this morning after six hours stuck on the lock's boat rollers.

But while moving it on an inflatable raft the whale slid off and swam away.

More info to follow as we have it.
