Metropolitan Police release latest figures on ULEZ camera crime

The Metropolitan Police have released the latest figures on crime relating to ULEZ cameras.

Between 1 April 2023 to 31 August 2023 the Met recorded 510 crimes relating to ULEZ Cameras.

This includes 159 reports of cameras being stoles and 351 reports of cameras being damaged.

In May, an operation was launched by the Met to ensure a proportionate approach and response was in place to react both proactively and reactively to any crimes.

To date investigations have led to the arrest of two individuals, one charged and bailed for trial to June 2024 and the other was discontinued by the CPS.
