UPDATE: Watch dealer found dead day after being robbed in Richmond
Police confirm that a man has been found dead the day after being robbed by other two men at a Richmond jewellery store.
The watch dealer was found dead after police were called to Shepperton shortly after 8:15pm on Sunday, 26 May.
Initially, two men robbed the jewellery store at around 2:50pm on Saturday, 25 May in Kew Road, Richmond the Met confirm.
Two men, who were not armed, entered the shop and assaulted a member of staff before stealing a quantity of high value watches.
Met Police say the member of staff was not seriously injured during the incident.
In a statement, Surrey Police said: "A man in his 20s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin are aware and are being supported."
The force added that "inquiries are still ongoing, but his death is not thought to be suspicious".
In an updated, Met Police officers said it was: "aware of the death of a man in Surrey.
"We ask that the privacy of his family is respected at this difficult time."
