Road works at Manor Circus Roundabout in Richmond has caused congestion throughout the borough.
Last week, TfL closed a section of Manor Circus Roundabout, leading to massive congestion across Richmond.
Residents have reported waiting up to 2 hours in traffic for journeys that would usually take between 10 and 15 minutes.
Along with major delays on all main roads leading to and from the roundabout, traffic is spilling onto residential streets.
This has had a knock-on effect on local schools who are growing increasingly concerned about the impact of high levels of pollution on their most vulnerable students.
Betty, from Kew, said: "We are completely blocked in this isn't a major road it's a small road which normally sees the odd car if there were to be an emergency we are stuffed.
"On top of this there is a nursery school and kids park so is it correct in a ULEZ zone that we are privy to these fumes?"
She added: "This is apparently going on until June next year but only today finally TfL accepts its a problem and give guys working isn't acceptable for a major road junction but apparently we won't see any release from this until December."
Sarah Olney, MP for Richmond Park said: "Some drivers have spent hours trying to travel just a few miles in the last week. There has been almost no traffic management put in place by TfL and they are just hoping we'll put up with it until December.
"For commuters and residents who have to live with this mess, the only thing worse than being stuck for hours in roadworks, is then seeing no one working on the site.
"TfL need be working night and day to get the roundabout working as soon as possible.
