A man has been jailed for over two years after pleading guilty to a string of burglaries targeting small independent businesses across the Richmond area.

Carl Richardson, born 5 October 1980, appeared at Kingston Crown Court on Monday, 7 July where he admitted to eight separate offences.

The Met Police reveal he was subsequently sentenced to 27 months in prison.

The offences, all commercial burglaries, were committed earlier this year and involved a number of small, locally run businesses.
