A man has been ordered to pay a fine after his dog killed a fallow deer in Richmond Park.

The incident took place on September 12th in the park with David Reay, 69, being fined for the incident.

He pleaded guilty to allowing his dog to attack and kill a deer in Wimbledon Magistrates Court yesterday.

Mr Reay was fined £135 and made to pay £350 in compensation to the park.

It is so important that we look after the deer in Richmond Park.

According to the Royal Parks, some 3-4 deer are killed by dogs each year in Richmond Park and another 2-3 after being spooked by them and running in front of cars.
