Teddington's local vinyl record shop Roan Records is organising a big music event to support the Prosperity Café appeal for Ukraine, it has been announced.
The big event, called Acoustic Rooster for Ukraine, will take place at Teddington Constitutional Club on Wednesday, March 30th at 7pm. A minimum admission fee of £5 at the door will go straight to the appeal.
The Prosperity Café in Twickenham – which is own by a Ukrainian couple - has hit the headlines for its fund-raising activities for Ukraine and is sending regular shipments of emergency supplies to the border.
The line-up for the music gig includes performances from Cain and Able, Tom Speight, Von Harle, Wounded Lovers and The Young with more acts to be announced closer to the event. Local businesses have also donated raffle prizes for the night.
Roan Records boss, Rob Palmer said: "This is our way of supporting the campaign. The local community has been fantastic and the Prosperity Café has become the focal point and hub for that support so I hope people will turn out on the night. It will be a great music event."
