From 18 November Orleans House Gallery will be transformed into an extraordinary playground, filled with swathes of organza, dozens of multi-coloured toys and an assortment of masks and dressing-up outfits.

Created by Turner Prize winning art and architecture collective Assemble and Assemble Play, Play Works is a hands-on exhibition celebrating the endless possibilities of play.

Come and enjoy a magical environment where imagination is encouraged and nurtured.

Children (and their adults) are invited to lose themselves in play and learn from one another's games.

It's FREE and suitable for children of all ages.

Objects from the Richmond Borough Art Collection will also be on show, curated and reimagined by local school children and there will be screenings of The Voice of Children, an on-going research project exploring play in cities around the world.

Orleans House Gallery is fully accessible and if you're in need of refreshments after playing with all the different things on offer, why not get a drink and something to eat in their Stables Café.

And if your children have any energy left, there's a garden and surrounding woods to run around in and a playground on the nearby Thames riverbanks.

Come and Play!
