How the NHS in Richmond is working to keep everyone safe

By The Editor 8th Sep 2020

There have been a lot of new measures put in place to keep residents safe when they visit their doctor in Richmond.

Dr Patrick Gibson said: "I want you to know that the NHS is here for you.

"We can offer you safe tests and safe treatments. Please feel that you can contact your local GP as you usually would.

"We are offering a range of appointment types - most will be by telephone or video, but sometimes a physical examination is required and you will be asked to attend the surgery.

"If you are, you will find that the doctors, nurses and receptionists will be wearing face masks and we ask that you wear a face covering as well."

Watch the video above to see what's changed and how the NHS is working to keep people safe, including telephone and video appointments, hand sanitiser in GP surgeries and temperature checks on arrival.
