Police were called to Kew Botanical Gardens on Sunday afternoon to reports of a missing 11 year old.

A spokesman said: "Officers from Richmond attended and an NPAS (National Police Air Service) helicopter was requested and arrived at around 1700 hours to assist officers in the search.

"The child has now returned home and is safe and well."
