Harlequins started strong with some expansive attacking play, spreading the ball wide to Abby Dow who raced up the left wing, but was ultimately brought down and dragged into touch.

The momentum was very much in Harlequins' favour, but Saracens took their opportunity and struck first with a try on 15 minutes from Jess Breach.

With a firm foothold on the game, Saracens scored a further four tries through Packer, Grant, Harrison and Cleall to make the score 27-0 after 30 minutes. With little possession, Quins struggled to regain momentum from Saracens, and the score would remain the same going into half time.

The second half began, and reinvigorated Harlequins came out the blocks fast, putting huge pressure on Saracens in their half.

Having been camped on their own line, Saracens turned Harlequins over and decided to play from their own in goal area. Reading the pass early, Lagi Tuima flew out of Harlequins' line and intercepted the ball, dotting the ball down at her feet and scoring Quins' first try of the match. Bella McKenzie converted to make the score 27-7 on 45 minutes.

With momentum finally swinging in their favour, Harlequins pressed on in attack. Camped in Saracens' 22, Bella McKenzie received the ball in open play and attacked the blindside, handing off two players and breaking through to score a fantastic solo try to narrow Saracens' lead to 27-12 with 25 minutes to go.

The score would remain the same until one final attacking effort from Saracens saw replacement hooker Rettie claim the final try of the match.

The conversation was missed but referee Chrisoph Ridley blew the whistle for full time as Saracens claimed a 32-12 victory over their London rivals.
