Harlequins travelled to Kingsholm to face top-of-the-table Gloucester-Hartpury, with Amy Turner's side battling for a place in the top four.

In front of a record crowd, Gloucester-Hartpury started fast and scored three tries in the opening quarter of an hour. Battling hard across all areas, Quins did all they could to nullify Gloucester's threats.

Some strong defensive work from the back row prevented a fourth try on 23 minutes, as Harlequins back row forced a penalty whilst camped on their own line.

Compounding errors and a blistering attacking performance from Gloucester-Hartpury would see them run in a further two tries before half-time to give them a 29-0 lead at the break.

The second half started much the same as the first, with three Gloucester-Hartpury tries in quick succession, extending their lead to 48-0 with 30 minutes to go.

On 58 minutes, Quins would score their first try of the afternoon. They won the lineout ten meters out and powered up the field with their driving maul. The ball was recycled and a few phases later, Springbok Babalwa Latsha muscled her way over the line to get Quins on the scoreboard. Lagi Tuima converted with a drop kick out wide to make the score 48-7.

With momentum, two minutes later Quins broke the line through Abby Dow, who had the pace to go round the outside and score in the corner. Lagi Tuima converted again to narrow the deficit further. The score stood at 48-14 as the game entered the final quarter.

Two more tries to Gloucester-Hartpury would seal a dominant 60-14 victory for the cherry and whites, as Quins returned home without a point.
