The A316 closure between Richmond and Twickenham will last into the late evening, police said.

The road is shut in both directions after a collision which happened around 4.30pm.

Richmond Police said: "The road closures at Richmond Circus to Twickenham Bridge will likely be in place for at least a few more hours.

"Anyone who witnessed the accident is urged to call us on 101 quoting reference CAD5393/30Mar21."

Traffic is at a standstill on numerous roads across the borough.

We have contacted the ambulance service and police and will bring you more information when we have it.
