Richmond's Orange Tree Theatre will be offering a Summer Schools programme for children in August.

Whether you are new to drama or an experienced performer, the programme will allow guests to meet new people, learn new skills, and make some theatre.

The activities will involve the children devising and rehearsing their own plays to be performed on stage at the Orange Tree. Working with a director, the groups will decide what story they want to tell and how to tell it.

A programme for those aged 12-16 will run from Monday, August 14, through to Saturday, August 19, when there will be a performance of the work the youngsters have created.

The programme for children aged 7-11 runs from Monday, August 21, to Saturday, August 26, with a performance at 3pm.

The cost of the course is £250 and there are a limited number of bursaries to help fund participation.

For the full details, including how to book and bursaries, please visit Orange Tree Theatre website - https://orangetreetheatre.co.uk/whats-on/summer-schools-2023/about
