Could Richmond Park get to star on an orange square?
Richmond's edition of Monopoly could be the greenest one yet, the producers of the new board game said.
Winning Moves is making a Richmond upon Thames version which will hit shops and be available to buy online in October.
Producers said thousands of suggestions poured in from residents on what landmarks and groups they wanted to see featured.
After more than 3,000 votes, Richmond Park, Kew Palace and Hampton Court Palace (brown squares) are among the favourites to land places on the board.
The four train stations may have either a general travel theme – or be replaced with local parks. The new game will see:
- sets and cards themed to Richmond upon Thames landmarks, heritage, shopping, education, entertainment and more
- customised Chance and Community Chest cards
- 30+ Richmond landmarks featured
- 5 borough charities 'Passing GO'
