Fire brigade called to tackle blaze at Richmond pub

Six fire engines and around 30 firefighters were called to tackle a basement fire at a pub on Church Court, Richmond, on Saturday evening (20 September).
"As some may already know last night [20 September] we experienced a basement fire," said The Angel and Crown via Facebook.
"Everyone was safely evacuated and the fire was contained swiftly with no damage to the building. Many thanks to the London Fire Brigade."
Firefighters said part of the basement was damaged in the blaze, which broke out shortly before 6:30pm. Crews from Richmond, Kingston, Twickenham and nearby stations attended.
One man was treated at the scene by paramedics.
Firefighters brought the incident under control by 7:14pm.
The Angel and Crown yesterday [21 September] did announce that it was back open for business as usual.
The cause of the fire was due to an electrical fault, the pub confirm.
