The Jazz Sanctuary is bringing it's exciting and eclectic mix of music to Twickenham tonight – Wednesday - at Winchester Hall.

The Jazz Sanctuary is one of the venue partners of the EFG London Jazz Festival 2021, which includes tonight's performances.

The Jazz Festival is in its 29th year and promises another momentous 10-day run of forward-looking programme featuring world-class artists and emerging stars of the jazz scene.

The main event of tonight's jazz jamboree will feature London composer and double-bassist Kielan Sheard, one of the finalists in the BBC Young Jazz Musician of the year 2020.

Kielan will be performing alongside his quintet playing original compositions influenced by everything from Coltrane to Mongolian folk.

This captivating quintet consists of: Kielan Sheard - double bass; Tom O'brien – Piano; Emma Racwiz – saxophone; Matt Seddon – trombone; and Stan Wickham – drums.

Opening up the evening will be the Richmond Youth Jazz Band, led by Roger Perrin, which features the best and brightest of the borough's up and coming jazz talent.

The evening will finish with an open invitation to the stage for any musician to come up and join in on a jazz jam.

Tickets are available here. and will cost £12 for advanced bookings and £15 on the door.

Doors open at 6:45pm with the first set starting at 7:30pm and food will be available throughout the evening.

The event is 12+ and will be held at Winchester Hall, 28 Winchester Road, Twickenham, TW1 1LF.
