There is less than 24 hours to give your views on whether a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) should be installed on a Richmond street.

Local resident Darren Murphy started a petition to bring a CPZ to Manor Grove, Richmond, which has gathered 89 signatures at the time of writing.

A CPZ is a designated area on public roads where on-street parking and loading are regulated during specified days and hours.

Neighbours have until tomorrow (Thursday, 24 September) to sign the petition.

Only when a petition gains over 500 signatures, a Richmond Council service committee must consider it unless the petitioner wants the petition to run its course.

If the petition gains 1,000 signatures by the time it closes (and had not been considered by the relevant service Committee), it will be presented in a full Council meeting where councillors will hold a debate about it.
