England and Harlequins legend Mike Brown will take part in a special charity evening in Richmond later this year to support families of seriously ill children.

The exclusive event, organised by Momentum Children's Charity, will take place on Friday, 11 September at The Richmond Golf Club.

Guests will enjoy a two-course dinner and drinks, alongside a live interview with the former England full-back, who will share stories from his career at the top of international rugby.

Brown enjoyed a highly successful career with England and Harlequins, winning three Six Nations Championship titles with England and two Premiership titles at club level.

Attendees will hear behind-the-scenes insights from his time as a professional player, as well as personal memories from some of the biggest moments of his career.

The evening will also feature a live auction, giving guests the chance to bid on a range of special prizes while raising funds for charity.

Speaking about the event, Brown said: "I have some unforgettable stories to share and memories from my career in professional rugby and I'm looking forward to what will be a brilliant evening.

"At a time when families are facing the unimaginable, Momentum provides practical help and compassionate emotional care, and I couldn't be prouder to stand behind the work they do."

The charity supports families whose children are facing cancer or other life-challenging conditions.

Sarah Woods, CEO of Momentum Children's Charity, said: "Rugby fans won't want to miss this event, where Mike offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into the world of rugby, with plenty of laughs along the way.

"This special evening, held during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, will raise essential funds to help us continue providing vital support to families of seriously ill children when they need it most."

Tickets for the event start from £125 per person, with discounted rates available for tables of ten.

Organisers say the one-off event is expected to attract rugby fans and supporters from across the area.
