Twickenham Film Studios is celebrating its part in the success of the new chart-topping single from Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris.

The dance track 'Miracle' was filmed on Stage 1 at the studios and the video trickery has been integral to the success of the song which is riding high at number 1.

The video was shot on exactly the same stage as the Beatles used in the filming of 'A Hard Day's Night' and 'Help'.

The dance track and video have been credited with putting Ellie, whose solo concert at Kew Gardens was recently released on Amazon, back at the top of the UK music scene.

A spokesman for the studios, which has a clutch of Oscars, mainly for its sound work, said: "From music videos to period dramas, Twickenham Film Studios can cater for your every shooting need with makeup rooms, prop spaces, production offices and three stages."

The video sees Goulding undergo a series of transformations against awe-inspiring backdrops from a desert with dark red sky to a dance platform scene, while a brooding Harris appears surrounded by lightning bolts against threatening clouds. All were created using special effects at the studios in St Margarets.

The track is the third iteration of the Calvin Harris-Ellie Goulding collaborations, following the release of their massive hits 'I Need Your Love' in 2013 and 'Outside' in 2014.

Tt sees the duo returning to their 'trance rave heyday', featuring a 'throbbing, Eurodance drum beat' combined with 'ethereal piano and glittering synths'.
