Early morning thunderstorms forecast in Richmond

Sunday morning in Richmond is set to be a total washout and there is a chance of early thunderstorms.

According to the latest weather forecast there is a 100% chance of rain between 6am and noon.

The heaviest of the rainfall is set to fall between 6-8am when thunderstorms may strike.

A weather warning has been issued by the Met Office between 5-10am on Sunday, November 15.

"A spell of heavy rain is expected on Sunday morning and may result in some flooding of roads and a few properties," the forecaster said.

What to expect:

  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer

On the bright side, sunny intervals and a gentle breeze is predicted for all of Monday morning.
