A cyclist was involved in an accident in Richmond Park on Saturday afternoon.

Ambulance and police crews were called to the scene of the incident on Sawyer's Hill at around 1pm (Saturday, November 21).

Royal Parks Police urged people to take care when they are cycling down this steep downhill slope.

"Please be careful when cycling down Sawyer's Hill in Richmond Park.

"We are currently dealing with a cyclist who has come off at this location, going over the handle bars."

Earlier this morning, the parks police shared a Met Police message to motorists that "the amount of speeding we are seeing on London's roads is simply unacceptable".

Parks police said: "20mph speed limits apply in all Royal Parks. Please keep your speed down, we continue to monitor speed and report those breaking the limit."
