Celebrate the arrival of Spring at Petersham Nurseries Café

As the days get longer and warmer, the renowned Petersham Nurseries Café is celebrating the arrival of Spring.

Tomorrow evening – Saturday, March 19 – it will be hosting a Spring Equinox dinner ahead of the clocks changing at the end of the month.

It is inviting guests to dine in their beautiful greenhouse restaurant beneath a canopy of bougainvillea and vines.

Petersham Nurseries Café is a magnet for the rich and famous, hosting many stylish events, as well as being enjoyed by local families and playing a major role supporting the community through the pandemic.

It recently retained its Michelin Guide Green Star, which recognises restaurants that not only consider their own impacts on the environment but 'also address issues related to ethics and wellbeing, as well as contributing to local, national or global charitable and educational projects'.

The event on Saturday commences at 7.30pm when guests will be greeted with a seasonal Bellini and live music followed by a seasonal four course banquet.

It will be showcasing hero Spring ingredients and offer a taste of dishes that will star on its menu in the coming weeks.

Among the many fabulous creation are a main dish of lamb rump with crispy sweetbread, broad beans, courgette and Margherita onion. It is served with a potato and anchovy salad with garden herbs,
