Bus strikes in Twickenham suspended following new pay offer
Strikes by bus controllers at Transport UK called off after last-minute pay offer from employer
Industrial action due to be taken by 40 bus company staff in control rooms in Battersea and Twickenham beginning on 8 May has been suspended, Unite the union announced yesterday (2 May).
Following extensive negotiations a new improved offer was tabled by the employer and, as a result, the impending strike action was suspended to allow members to consider and vote on the latest offer.
Unite regional Maxine Loza said: " Transport UK has come forward with a new pay offer that will now be put to a ballot of our members.
"As a goodwill gesture, Unite is suspending the planned industrial action that was due to begin next week."
