House of Fraser in Richmond to close in September

House of Fraser in Richmond is closing in September.

Closing down signs have appeared at the department store in the town centre. Shoppers can get an extra 20% off purchases.

The large building is owned by a company called Canadian and Arcadia.

C&A is planning to turn it into office, retail and potentially leisure space and build a new fourth floor atop the building at 75-81 George Street.

The grand plans have the backing in principle from Richmond Council.
