Richmond Council has begun setting out the effect of the upcoming lockdown on its key services.

The borough will begin a 27-day lockdown on Thursday, November 5.

This is what will happen to those services, in the council's words.

Day centres

Our Adult Social Services team is working hard to keep Day Centre services available for our most vulnerable residents. Staff will contact each individual personally to discuss.

Waste and recycling

These services currently remain unchanged and Townmead Road will be open as usual.

Please remember to book in advance.

Book your slot here.

Libraries

We are still pending government guidance, but we are hopeful that we will be able to provide a click and collect service as a minimum.

Please keep checking our web pages for further guidance.

Youth centres

All youth centres in the borough will be closed.

More information here.

Orleans House Gallery

The gallery will close on Thursday.

Events and activities, including the Literature Festival, will be delivered virtually.

Civic Centre

We are still reviewing the government guidance, currently open for limited services only, you can book a face-to-face appointment only where enquires cannot be resolved online or by phone.

Call 020 8891 1411.

Parks

Remain open (including playgrounds).

Register office

Unfortunately, marriage and civil partnership ceremonies will not proceed during lockdown.

The Register Office is contacting all those with bookings to make relevant rebooking arrangements.

Registration for births and deaths will still continue.

Schools

Remain open.
